LCS Celebrates Three Years Accident Free
January 3, 2012
As general contractors we are proud to announce we have been
accident free for the past three years – with zero reportable
incidents in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Today, construction remains a high risk industry; and as a
whole, the construction industry is a tough one for safety.
According to OSHA (the Occupational Safety and Health Act),
despite overall improvements, annual accident statistics have
shown that the construction industry remains one of most hazardous
to workers; and, each year, more than 1,000 construction workers
lose their lives and 400,000 more experience injuries or illnesses
on the job.
Safety is a routine, something practiced on a daily basis
that should be second nature to all of us. No matter how large
or how small a project, each project should have a set protocol
that focuses on safety, team work, and quality.
