Mechanical / Plumbing Project Manager – Southern California

LCS Constructors, Inc. (LCS), an established,
innovative, market-leading specialty construction firm based
in South Orange County, is seeking a Project Manager with a
mechanical and plumbing background to lead teams from conception
to completion of projects for a client base that includes Fortune
500 companies. Our projects include large turn-key design
and construction of laboratories and technical facilities
for a variety of industries.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, drive and manage major customer relationships
with biotechnology/pharmaceutical companies, academic labs,
hospitals, chemical and petrochemical companies and analytical/clinical
testing services.
- Grow revenues from both existing and new customers.
- Collaborate with Marketing & Business Development to
identify and successfully penetrate key market segments.
- Meet with customers to understand their requirements and
educate them about our services.
- Lead clients through a consultative and solution-oriented
sales process that establishes strong client relationships.
- Be creative in identifying methods to reduce competitive
pressures, influence and buying process and move deals forward.
- Manage and schedule field staff to successfully match skills
to job requirements.
- Monitor quality of installations and ensure client satisfaction.
- Assist with the estimating and bidding process for projects
and determine and manage project profitability.
- Negotiate contracts and successfully close sales cycles.
- Identify value-engineering opportunities when necessary.
- Administer all aspects of projects, including subcontracts,
submittals, change orders, progress billings, and purchasing.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 10 + years mechanical and plumbing construction experience
- Experience in commercial and industrial construction
- Contracting background in mechanical systems, plumbing
and process piping
- Bachelor's degree in construction or mechanical engineering
a plus
