LCS
became involved with Rhodia, an acid chemical manufacturer
located in Texas, when they were asked to submit a bid within
the competitive bid arena. Project re-design was necessary
and in this process LCS was able to reduce the cost of the
project by $170,000 through value engineering. This brought
the total project cost down to within the owners original
budget. If this had not been accomplished it is likely that
the project would have never proceeded.
The exterior design details were specified so that they would
fit well within the existing plant facilities/building design.
This required the building to be fabricated out of engineered
steel with brick veneer. This allowed for a state of the art,
professional laboratory with a more aesthetic look that is
usually reserved for administration and office buildings.
