LCS would like to take the time to congratulate our very own Justin McAndrew. Justin has been selected to participate in the 2016 ABC Southern-California Craft Championship!
Craft trainees and apprentices from across Southern California come together each year to compete for top honors in their chosen craft. For the competitors, the ABC So-Cal Craft Championship allows them to demonstrate their superior skills, training and safe work practices. For the training sponsors, employers and the ABC chapter, this championship demonstrates a staunch commitment to the career path the construction industry offers.
Justin has completed the written portion of the qualifying round and will move on in January to compete with the others selected in his category, Electrical: Commercial-Industrial. With three years of schooling at ABC and his experience while working with LCS, Justin will be able to put his skills and knowledge to the test. Justin is confident that he has what it takes to elevate him all the way to the top! Congratulations Justin!

newsLCS was selected as the design-builder for Microsemi’s operational facility relocation to a 103,000 sq/ft, two story office building. The renovation included new production areas, hazardous chemical storage rooms, manufacturing, EM Test, assembly, and electromagnetic testing laboratories, a class 10,000 and class 100,000 clean room, testing and engineering laboratories, machine rooms, brazing room, engineering laboratories, magnetic winding areas, a prototype laboratory, a BEAD blast room, and a new elevator. In order to keep Microsemi in full 24/7 operation, the relocation project was divided into 5 phases. LCS was able to keep Microsemi in complete production at all times with zero disruption to work-flow.

A quick quote from the Vice President shows just how successful this project was.
“From the start of the project it was clear we selected the right contractor in LCS. The upgrades to our facility and finished product are exactly what we had envisioned. Perhaps the most impressive aspect is the fact that existing operations and revenue generation was never impacted. This was critical and LCS delivered despite the large scope of work and duration.”

Vice President & General Manager
