special olympicsLCS was the only Gold Medal Sponsor at Special Olympics Texas Mulligans and Mudbugs Annual Charity Golf Tournament presented by SGS North America, Inc. The charity tournament took place on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Kingwood Country Club in Kingwood, Texas. The day began at 10:00 A.M. with player check-in and lunch, a shotgun start at 11:30 A.M., followed by an awards ceremony and crawfish boil dinner. This year four former NFL players, Jimbo Elrod, Gregg Bingham, Michael “Tony” Davis and Dan Pastorini played in the tournament. Those who were there can attest that the weather was COLD this year!! But, it was still a fun day supporting this worthwhile charity event that raised $84,400! The charity event supports year-round sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This was LCS’ fourth year sponsoring and volunteering at this event and we look forward to seeing you out there next year!
